The exciting cultural event of the year in the regional Southwest, the Spectacular Concert is a performance of international recording artists joined by world-renowned Mariachi groups at Pan American Center, NMSU. The Spectacular Concert showcases over 750 workshop students in performance with world-class musicians and dancers during the staged opening numbers. An audience of over 7,000 attends the traditional performance highlighted by featured vocalists such as past performers Aida Cuevas, Pepe Aguilar, Lola Beltran, Ana Gabriel, Vikki Carr, Linda Ronstadt, Alicia Villarreal and Pedro Fernandez. Renowned entertainers such as Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan; female groups Mariachi Divas, Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles and Mariachi Mujer 2000, and Las Cruces’ favorite, Mariachi Cobre from Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida, perform at this special event at Pan American Center. Visitors from the regional area and across America travel to Las Cruces to attend this truly Spectacular Concert.
